Job Description:
As a Network Engineer, you will design, configure, and maintain our company’s local and wide area networks, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role involves collaborating with IT teams to deliver high-availability networking solutions, overseeing network monitoring, and performing proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Architecture: Design, install, and configure LAN/WAN architecture for optimal performance and scalability, using best-in-class technologies and solutions.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to safeguard against unauthorized access and cybersecurity threats.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Use network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds) to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues. Ensure continuous system availability and implement upgrades when necessary.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies, ensuring backup systems and redundancy protocols are in place to minimize data loss and service disruption.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topologies, IP addressing, hardware inventories, and security configurations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLAN.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade switches, routers, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto).
- Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices (e.g., IPS/IDS, VPNs, and NAC).
- Certifications like Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
